From Darkness Woven is composed for orchestra without brass instruments. The piece has its roots in thoughts about looms. Various sections of the piece had working titles like Installment, Battening, Fabric, Shuttle and Pattern. The piece was revised in December 2016.
Nominated for the Icelandic Music Award as composition of the year 2016.
